Sep 2, 2008 - Despite its popularity, the compact fluorescent bulb is not the future for Texas Tech lamp posts. Instead, the Tech Physical Plant is considering LED lighting for more than 100 lamp posts on campus. "If it matches the data, we expect the same amount of light for a lot less electricity," said David Bradshaw, engineering services manager at the physical plant.
